# Transparency and audit

> How HDL is monitored, and the reporting and review commitments behind it.

A reference book is only valuable if people can check it. HDL is designed to be
verifiable, not just trusted.

## Continuous monitoring

Every HDL instrument and every source behind it is monitored around the clock.
Issues with a source are visible to Hyperprop before they can affect a trader.
